Halo-Lit / Backlit Logo Signs are signs with LED strips embedded inside and behind the letters or logo. The light shines onto the wall behind, creating a soft, diffused "halo" shadow around the letter edges. Only the outline of the logo is visible, not the letters themselves glowing brightly like Face-Lit signs. The key advantage is its luxurious and sophisticated appearance, not garish, suitable for spaces aiming to convey luxury, authority, and sophistication.
Halo-Lit isn't just prettier — the fact that light doesn't directly penetrate the front of the letters means customers will read the logo from its shape and color (contrast with the wall), not from its brightness. This makes it ideal for logos with clear brand identity that want to showcase premium materials.
4-Step Production Process
Prepare File + Fabrication Design
Receive vector logo file, calculate letter size, and optimal standoff distance for Halo Effect.
Laser Cut + Letter Forming
Fiber laser cuts stainless steel/zinc/acrylic sheets according to design. Returns are 2–3 inches, forming internal letter housing.
Install LED + Acrylic Backing
Install SMD 2835 LED strips around the inner edges of the letters. Cover with translucent acrylic diffuser to minimize visible LED spots.
Standoff + Concealed Wiring
Install letters with standoffs 2.5–4 cm from the wall. Conceal wiring seamlessly into the wall.

Halo-Lit works best with materials that contrast with the wall — for example, silver or black stainless steel on a white wall, Rose Gold stainless steel on a wooden wall, or black painted zinc on a light wall. Material selection must consider the color of the back wall to ensure the Halo Effect is most visible.
Choose Color Temperature according to mood
For Halo-Lit, the chosen LED color temperature significantly impacts the sign's mood. Warm White 3000K provides a warm glow suitable for hotels and restaurants. Cool White 4000K is neutral, fitting for corporate and general retail. Daylight 6500K gives a bright, clear halo, ideal for applications requiring high visibility. If a distinctly cool blue halo is desired, Cold White 8000K+ can be chosen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Halo-Lit (backlit) signs project light from behind the letters onto the wall, showing only a glowing halo around the edges. The letters remain solid, not glowing. Face-Lit signs project light directly through the front of the letters, causing the entire letter to glow brightly. Halo-Lit is suitable for corporate luxury, while Face-Lit is ideal for storefronts and advertising.
White or light-colored walls provide the most prominent Halo Effect because they reflect light well. Mid-tone walls (gray, beige) offer a sleek, luxurious feel. Dark or black walls will show less of the halo. We recommend choosing letter colors that contrast with the wall and testing before final installation.
The acrylic backing behind the letters serves three purposes: (1) it protects the LED housing from dust and insects, (2) it helps diffuse the light for a softer glow, reducing visible LED spots, and (3) it protects the LED wiring from being touched or damaged during maintenance.
Approximately 10 cm in height, as there needs to be internal space for the LED strip + diffuser. If smaller, the light may not diffuse enough to create a visible halo, or individual LED spots might be noticeable. For very small logos, Edge-Lit or Face-Lit signs might yield better results.
For new walls or renovations, we recommend routing electrical wires inside the wall with a concealed Junction Box for the cleanest look. For existing walls where drilling isn't possible, we can use PVC conduit matching the wall color or teak for a seamless finish. We are happy to arrange a site survey before scheduling.
