Warranty Terms
Octopus Media Solutions Co., Ltd. is confident in our ability to deliver the best value and highest satisfaction to every client. Should you need to make a warranty claim on vehicle wrap work, please contact us and we will guide you through the process. Clients should understand the following terms and conditions.
Scope of Warranty Coverage
- The warranty covers product defects arising from correct use and manufacturing errors only, and takes effect from the date of delivery.
- Installation work is warranted for 14 days. If any peeling results from the installation, please contact us to bring the vehicle in for correction.
- Print quality warranty is governed by the following print media specifications:
- For premium printing on an HP Latex printer, colour is warranted for 3 years without fading. If the work fades beyond the specified tolerance, we will reprint at no charge.
- For printing on a UV printer, colour is warranted for 3 years without fading. If the work fades beyond the specified tolerance, we will reprint at no charge.
- For printing on an Epson eCo-Solvent printhead equivalent-grade printer, colour is warranted for 2 years without fading. If the work fades beyond the specified tolerance, we will reprint at no charge.
*All product warranties are conditional on correct use by the end user. Labour costs for removal and reinstallation are not included.*
General Terms
- The warranty period begins from the date of confirmed delivery and handover.
- Warranty on installed work takes effect immediately. If the client modifies or dismantles the installation, the company will charge for the additional work required.
- The company reserves the right to inspect and repair defects using its own methods and standards, with or without a prior diagnostic investigation, at the company's sole discretion.
What Is Not Covered by Warranty
The company warrants only against defects arising from correct use and manufacturing errors. Deterioration, fading, degradation, or any other deficiency outside the warranty scope specified above is excluded, including but not limited to the following:
- Deterioration or fading caused by the use of high-alkaline cleaning agents during washing
- Deterioration, fading, or discolouration due to ageing, environmental change, or the natural passage of time beyond the warranty period, in accordance with the material specifications used
- Deterioration or damage resulting from unsuitable surrounding conditions, including but not limited to extreme high or low temperatures beyond standard environmental levels, high humidity, high acidity or alkalinity, or vapours from highly corrosive chemicals
- Damage resulting from natural disasters or environmental events, including storms, heavy rain, flooding, tsunamis, ground floods, or lightning
- Deterioration or damage from scratches, scrapes, collisions, or road traffic accidents
- Deterioration resulting from use outside the intended purpose, or actions such as cutting, modification, or reapplication carried out by the client independently
- Damage from gnawing or scratching by animals such as dogs, cats, rodents, or others
- Damage or breakage from intrusion, theft, or other unlawful acts
- Damage to the vehicle's original paintwork, including peeling or flaking, resulting from non-standard painting or repair work on the vehicle's surface coating
If the company determines that the damage falls into any of the above categories, the product warranty is immediately void. Warranty terms do not include the cost of labour for removal or reinstallation of the product at the installation point.
Vehicle Cleaning After Installation
Cleaning and maintaining a vehicle with inkjet-printed adhesive film requires special care to ensure the film remains in good condition and retains its appearance over time. Follow these steps:
- Start by rinsing the vehicle with clean water to remove loose dirt or debris from the surface.
- Use a mild car shampoo diluted with water to create a soapy solution. Gently wash the surface using a soft microfibre cloth or a soft-bristle brush. Avoid abrasive materials that may scratch the wrap.
- Pay extra attention to areas with heavy soiling, such as the underside of the vehicle or around the wheels. These areas may require additional pressure or repeated cleaning to remove embedded dirt. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
- To dry the vehicle, use a soft microfibre cloth or allow it to air dry naturally. Avoid using abrasive materials or rough towels that may damage or scratch the wrap.
- If you notice stubborn stains or marks on the film, use a gentle cleaner specifically formulated for vinyl wraps. Always test the cleaner on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it does not cause damage or colour loss.
- For ongoing maintenance, wash the vehicle regularly using a mild detergent and a soft cloth or brush. This prevents dirt build-up and keeps the wrap looking fresh.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, highly corrosive cleaning agents, or high-pressure water jets, as these can damage the inkjet-printed adhesive film.
Remember that proper care and maintenance is essential to preserving the lifespan and appearance of the inkjet-coated film on your vehicle. Always clean gently and avoid harsh chemicals or materials that may cause damage.
