1) Facility Approval (Overview)
This step usually focuses on the “operating location” and whether the site is used for manufacturing, importing, or storage. In practice, it is often grouped into three main cases:
- Food production site registration (when the site is not classified as a factory)
- Food manufacturing licence (when the site is classified as a factory)
- Import licence (for importers)
