File Preparation

Prepare your files before sending them for production to ensure a quick start, accurate colors, and reduced revisions — follow the guidelines below.

Faster production Accurate colors Reduced revisions
Section 01

Supported File Formats

We accept both vector and raster files — choose the appropriate format for your work. Some tasks, such as cutting and signage, require vector files only.

Recommended
Vector Files
.AI.EPS.PDF

Suitable for logos, text, graphics, cutting work, and signage. Can be scaled up or down without losing sharpness. These files are the easiest for our team to work with.

Vector files are required for Die-cut work · Signage · Metal and acrylic letters · Large-scale work
Raster Files
.PSD.TIFF.JPG.PNG

Suitable for photographs and complex gradients. Must be sent at high resolution and actual size, as scaling will result in pixelation.

iIf you are unsure whether your file is ready for production, you can send it to our team for a free check.

File Preparation Requirements

8 important settings to configure before sending your file to ensure that the printed and produced work matches your design.

1
Set color mode to CMYK

Set the file color mode to CMYK to ensure that the printed colors are as close as possible to your design — RGB colors from the screen will be distorted when printed.

2
Image Resolution

For close-up viewing, use 300 DPI · For large-scale work viewed from a distance, use 100–150 DPI at actual size · Vector work does not require concern about resolution.

3
Set file size = actual size

Create the file at the actual size of the work, 1:1 scale, or a clear reduced proportion, such as 1:10, and specify the scale to our team.

4
Allow for Bleed

Extend the background color or image beyond the edge of the work by 3–5 mm and leave a safe margin for important text away from the edge to prevent it from being cut.

5
Convert fonts to outlines

Create Outlines / Convert to Curves for all fonts before sending to prevent font distortion or disappearance when opening the file on another computer.

6
Embed images in the file

Embed all images used, do not send as links, as linked images will not be included in the work file, causing images to be missing or low resolution.

7
Separate cut/die-cut lines

Create die-cut or cut lines as a separate layer or define them as Spot Color for the cutting machine to read the lines correctly.

8
Proofread before sending

Check spelling, numbers, and content thoroughly, as the original file submitted is considered confirmed by the client.

Bleed, Cut Line, and Safety Area

Click the buttons below to toggle each line and see why bleed is important — try turning off "Bleed" and see what happens.

Bleed Cut Line Safety Area
Cut Line: The actual edge where the work will be cut to the ordered size.
Bleed: The background color/image extended beyond the cut line to prevent white edges if cutting is slightly off.
Safety Area: The zone where important text and elements should be placed to avoid being cut.

Prepare Files by Job Type

Each job type has different specific considerations — see the specific recommendations based on the type of work to be produced.

Submit photos at high resolution, suitable for viewing distance.
Specify actual size and grommet positions (if any).

Die-cut Sticker

Extend the background color slightly beyond the cut line to prevent white edges.
Do not place important text or elements too close to the cut line.
Signage & Letters
